Andy Reading Fund is a charitable
origination established in June 2015. The goal of the Andy Reading Fund is to promote the education of rural students around the world.
HOW EVERYTHING BEGAN?
A 18-year-old Chinese international student, Yuhan (Andy) Wang, transferred his American high school experience into his book, High School Encounter Seattle, which was published and distributed by the largest national bookstore in China. He decided to donate all the profit from his publication to create the Andy Reading Fund.

The Andy Reading Fund provides needed educational books and resources to rural students around the world.
The Andy Reading Fund brought stationaries to Chinyaradzo Childrenâ€™ Home in Harare, Zimbabwe on February 10, 2016. We are looking forward to providing further assistance to the 52 children in the facility.
暖冬行动 Giving Children A Warmer Winter
The Andy Reading Fund received a donation from Miss. Sun Yan to buy insulated shoes and jackets and shoes for rural Chinese students in October 2015. Students in Zuoguyida Elementary School (Meigu, Sichuan, China) were delighted with their newly received cloth and had a warm winter.

Movie “Fly Over the Rainbow”
“Fly over the Rainbow” is the story of a teacher teaching in suburban and persists his values and ethics in educating the children living in poverty. It is a lighthearted movie, and it released in an even warmer way. To honor the Teacher’s Day, to show this movie to more people, a couple of organizations including the
Andy Reading Fund collaborated to host a series of movie-watching events for teachers in cities.
The movie production team of “Fly Over the Rainbow” with representatives from the Andy Reading Fund went to where they filmed the movie, Dan Dong in the following week, to help to build a library and a computer room. Andy Reading Fund donated books and equipment worth ¥1000 RMB to the school.
We helped two students from Gongshan No.1 High school who were unable to continue their studies due to financial issues back to schoolyard.
In several elementary schools in Hadabei Town in Anshan, three top pupils were begging for money to continue their studying. They should be enjoying their childhoods and pursuing education, but as a result of family issues, they were hindered on the way to success. Under the assistance from Andy Reading Fund, the goal to help these three students has been accomplished.
Let’s pay the love forward to make every child able to enjoy the sunshine and the love under the same sky.
Linxi Arts Academy collaborated a book drive with Andy Reading Fund.In shortly a month, we received 656 books from all parts of the society and the books were then donated to the elementary school in BoJiaGou Town, FaKu County, in Shenyang, China.
Huge thanks to everyone who donated their FRST & other books to the reading Fund. We are reselling the books to the incoming freshmen and 100% of proceeding goes to provide scholarships for rural students who otherwise would not be able to attend school.
191 books are donated, which means 3 years and a half of education!
we made it happen with the help of the reading fund team, all resident hall directors and Co-president Emily Olson who directed this project. Great work!
245 Easter Eggs Sold!
The Andy Reading Fund successfully sold 245 easter eggs in our easter egg gram @ Lawrence University. All the proceeds will be donated to underprivileged children in Nepal.
